My soon to be wife's wedding ring is a 2 piece set: engagement ring and a wedding band. How do I exchange rings during the ceremony? Should she already have the engagement ring on, and I just add the wedding band? Or should both her engagement ring and wedding band be on the ring pillow and I put both on her? If so, one at a time or simultaneously?

It depends on your religion and form of ceremony. I personally am going to keep my engagement ring on during my wedding and have the band placed in front of it since that is how they fit together. Try asking her what her preference is and go from there.

Male Wedding Bands

Now I'll cover another common problem.  Which male wedding bands would best fit your personality?  Is your personality simple and not too extravagant?  Does having a different kind of band than others appeal to you?  Are you receiving advice from your significant other on what one to choose?  What is your cultural background?  If you're personality is simple then you'd might want to choose simple gold male wedding bands.  If it's a bit extravagant or you prefer something different than others then you might would choose something with some unique design features such as woven patterns or ribbed edges.  If you are influenced by your cultural background, you may want to choose from celtic, italian, or claddagh male wedding bands.

Choosing the right metal that make up male wedding bands is crucial.  There are many different types including gold, titanium, platinum, tungsten, and silver.  Male wedding bands that are gold are the most popular type.  THey come in 9kt, 14kt and 18kt generally with a 9kt ring being the cheapest and the 18kt being more expensive.  Gold male wedding bands are also available in multiple colors such as yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold.  White gold tends to be more expensive than the others.  Titanium is a natural metal with a mix of silver, grey, and white as it's color.  It's also the hardest metal on Earth.  Platinum is classified as white metal.  It is of a white nature and doesn't need to be rhodium plated.  It's also a very dense, heavy metal so platinum male wedding bands may feel heavier on your finger.  Male wedding bands made of Tungsten are colored a greyish white color that are hard, strong, and long lasting metal that is also resistant to scratches.  It runs generally the same price as titanium.  Silver male wedding bands are a white grey color which is less expensive than all the other metals covered.  It is much more soft than all the other metals also with a tendancy to go through oxidisation which turns them a blackish color which can be cleaned!  My advice would be to ignore rings made of silver unless you are really pressed for cash.
