Wedding colors on Bridal Party and Family?

Okay, so this year both my brother and I are getting married. I am not sure on the proper etiquette for who wears the wedding colors and who doesn't. I know that groomsmen and bridesmaids do and of usually the mothers. What about the groom? My wedding party will be in Cognac dresses and vests, is he supposed to match them? Am I supposed to be in my brothers wedding colors because I am his sister, does it matter, or is that in bad taste, since I am not an actual member of the bridal party? What I really need is just a general idea of who wears the colors and who doesn't.

the groom normally matches the bride, but in my wedding i am wearing ivory and i have him in black and red. the brides maids normaly fallow the color scheme of the wedding and the grooms men fallow the bridesmaids.
