What is your opinion of a man who never gave his wife a real diamond in the 5 yrs they've been married?

I've been walking around with a "diamond" wedding set, CZ's that is just to show im married but he's never bought me the diamond i wanted 5 yrs ago and he doesn't think it's important. I think that is what started all of our marital issues. What do you think?

and it's not that he can't afford the one i want, it's he can't afford a diamond period. in five years he could've put $100 dollars a month away so theres no excuse.
