My wedding ring needs to replated with rhodium plating...?

It's a white gold ring with 11 channel set diamonds on top and milgrain trim along each side. My questions are... will rhodium plating my ring destroy the milgrain work??? And...Do they have to remove the diamonds from the channel setting in order to dip the whole thing? I mean what is the process that this is done by? Is it a clear chemical that only reacts with white gold so it forms layer of rhodium??? If so, will it effect the diamonds as well? Or do they have to remove the diamonds and dip it, then reset the diamonds? If so, what happens the milgrain? I don't want my ring to come back different.

I'm a little nervous. It's the first time I've done this and I love my ring. I'm taking it to the people I bought it from because they know their collection, but I'm still nervous.

Can anyone ease my fears with giving me the step by step process for this?

rhodium will have no effect on your diamond it will only bond to the gold portion of the ring (it won't change the look of the milgrain either). when your ring was purchased, it was plated w/ rhodium, as w/ all white gold. the rhodium will wear off with time and it will need to be re plated. trust me, your ring will come back looking brand new and you will love it!
