wedding decoration help!?

our reception is at the hilton hotel in a ball room, but the manager said absolutly NO taping, tacking, or anything like that to the walls or ceilings, so how do i decorate?! i was japanese round lanterns and twinkle lights and stuff but i dont know how to hang it =[ i really like the locations though, here is some pictures of it.

of course ill have my own linens and stuff.

The outdoor area is easy...

If you want paper lanterns (love 'em...I'm using them too!), you can hang them from the tree branches, or even the overhang of the building. You could also easily wrap tulle with white christmas lights and lay them out around the brick wall, draped from the tree, around the edges of the roof, etc. Tea light candles would work very well in the area as well. Floral arrangments are easy, as you don't have to hang them!

The indoor area is a little more tricky if you can't use tape, tack, or anything like that. You may be able to hang the paper lanters from the vents in the ceiling, or from the ceiling iteself. I noticed it's a drop-ceiling, so all those white boards actually lift up, and if the lanterns aren't too heavy, you can string them around the ceiling frames. Again, tealight candles create a romantic glowy atmoshphere, and you don't need to tack or tape them! ♥

There are also these tack-free things you can get that don't chip or peel anything. The venue may allow something like this.

You can also rent tall lanterns/poles to hang things from. For outdoors, I've seen these amazing hanging candle lanterns...very pretty!

Get creative. If you're having a hard time with actual decorations, make your table settings and centerpieces extra special. Flowers will work spectacularly as well. Tea light candles with holders, etc.
