Tungsten or Stainless steel?

DF's new thing is how he wants a tungsten or stainless steel wedding band instead of a platinum one. He says it's more of a "man ring." (? don't ask)

Question is: For those of you who have tungsten or stainless steel rings, what do you like about them? What do you not like about them?
Oh, and women should feel free to answer on behalf of their husbands if they have any useful knowledge about this.

We have titanium rings. They don't bend; they're very, very hard. They DO, however, show scratches - but far fewer than gold would show.
