Should you get wedding ring & band sautered together?

My wedding band constantly slips around so the diamonds are facing inside my palm instead of out on top of my finger. I am thinking of getting my rings sautered together so this will not happen. However, awhile back when I suggested this our jeweler acted like it wasn’t a good idea.
Has anyone ever done this with women’s platinum wedding bands & rings? Is there any reason not to do this and what does it typically cost to have this done?

first of all. . . do you like the look of your ring being seperate from the band? If you like it get then just get the ring re-sized.

I have my engagement ring and two wedding bands. My engagement ring kept sliding. So, when i got my wedding bands I had them sautered. . .I love it! My sisiter-n-law had the same thing done and loves it too! it is not that much money!

I hear the same question time and again. "Both have the same look, what is the difference?" True, white gold and platinum jewelry still have the same white gold is much cheaper than platinum. But before you rush to choose white gold, get the facts:

Platinum, on the other hand, is a metal that is naturally white. Platinum is more rare than gold, heavier, much harder and used in a purer form (usually 95%). Platinum is therefore much more expensive than gold.

The advantages of white gold more platinum when used in jewelry is that it is much more affordable. However, you may need to re-cover the issue in rhodium once or twice a year as the wear rub away the layer and the pale, dull yellow gold is visible.

Platinum jewelry is more expensive initially, but is arguably more profitable long term, as when scratched or leads need not be re-coated.

Therefore, my metal of choice for jewelry is platinum. Not only are more important (as is heavier than gold), is more rare and also more practical. Also, when you buy an expensive piece of diamond jewelry that want to know that you have purchased the best!
